But just imagine…

Carter wakes up in a hospital dorm, sunlight streaming through the curtains.

He sees a face looming over him, auburn hair illuminated by the slivers of light coming through the windows, warm brown eyes that remind him of a rainy day cuddled up in a blanket and cinnamon hot chocolate.

“Carter,” rasps the boy’s voice. It’s hoarse, like he hasn’t spoken in weeks. Tears start to stream from those chocolate-brown eyes of his.

“Carter, Carter, Carter,” he repeats, “…finally, my Carter, my stupid idiot Carter, my Carter, Carter…” He continues, as if Carter’s own name is his only salvation.

He bends down to put his damp cheek next to Carter’s on the soft pillow, to share his warmth, to kiss his smile back to life.

“Carter,” Repeats Adrian.

“Who are you?” He replies.

OMGG!!! I Love it <3 i found today and after 3 hours and a half i get here!! (and also read spring in december, PLEASE make a full novel!!) It was super cute ^^ and i know carter (after 3 months approx?) will get what he wanted the first time he talk to adrian PLUS a love life <3 (please make a happy ending TT_TT)

Sorry I’m new here… can I ask if ARH is going to end definitively or just this volume? Does somebody know?

Wait for like the volume or all together, like the complete end, forever?? No more children love?? OH MY GOD, dude I’ll cry, mom just can’t end it like that!!! There’s so much to happen, try just got together, together!!! Relationships!!!

I fully respect authors decision but… nya, just nya.

Yep I can guarantee you that this is how 75% of romance stories end. It’s easy it’s sweet and most people don’t want to read a another book on a happy sweet romance because drama is more interesting and you can only take fluff so far. (Even tripping over you has it’s dramatic moments) either that or they end tragically like Romeo and Juliet or the fault in our stars. Or the couple gets split apart and it ends bitter sweet like in Eleanor and park. Maybe they’ll still have to solve the tension with Adrian’s parents and maybe they’ll leave it to where you’ll decide. Let’s just hope that they chose a happy ending over a bitter sweet or tragic one.

Guys, we don’t know if that means the story or the volume or if she’s just way ahead and has the rest of it planned out. For me, I feel like this page could be the end of this volume, but I don’t think it’s the end of the whole thing. There’s still conflict with Adrian’s parents that could easily pose important plot. However, it’s up to Hazel and Bell whether to end it here or not. Either way, it’s a wonderful story, and I’ll still be re-reading it in years to come. Besides, online authors and artists usually give some kind of indication that the story or art series/comic is over on the last page, chapter, or piece, which they haven’t done. But, then again, I don’t know how Bell and Hazel operate so they might announce it somewhere else or not at all and just stop updating. I certainly hope not, though.

We do know that it ARH as an ongoing comic will end at the end of this volume. They’ve got ideas for revisiting the characters and world, but there’s not going to be a Volume 3. I think they talked about this in comments between pages 192 and 205, but I can’t recall specifically where right now.

Plans change, I can tell you as a writer myself that your characters almost never do what you want them to and can make the story drastically shorter or longer. But yeah, I’m aware of that – however there’s a million things that could happen and I just honestly think there’s more to the comic than this. If not, I’ll still be reading this over and over for who-knows-how-long.
