I feel like Adrian is looking at his hand because there’s something wrong with it from the fall and he’s gonna die just after we get the moment we’ve waited 207 pages for

“I like this.” Now we begin to get a glimpse of just how emotionally stunted Adrian has been, and why he tried to glom onto David so hard. If it’s rare enough that he feels the urge to comment on it, it’s rare enough that he couldn’t comprehend why people feel underwhelmed when tsundere folks say “I feel the same way” (or, in Adrian’s case, “same”.)

And now he’s got Carter replying to him in the same manner — which stems from the “treat others as you want to be treated” Golden Rule. And he’s not at all sure he’s happy with it. Maybe this will cause him to change how he interacts with Carter in the future.

And in the end panel, he’s looking at his hand like he’s got an agenda for this meeting. I hope he doesn’t flub it…

Okay, but what if Adrian is looking at his hand because he just realized that Carter is losing blood from his head/neck/shoulder? lol probably impossible since we saw his neck a lot of times in the last pages, but gotta admit it’s a pretty interesting idea. Or maybe Adrian can’t feel his hand, something like that.

I want them to be happy but I want them to suffer too >:^D
