These two have such a dysfunctional relationship and oddly the irresponsible one isn’t at fault. Carter needs to meet another nice gay boy. Adrian is terrible for him.

Uh, quick question that will more than likely end up with me sounding like the ignorant American that I am: this story is set in Canada, right? Don’t they…speak…French…there??? Or do y’all learn it in school…??? I…I am so confused…I’m so sorry. ;-;
Hi I’m Canadian, just wanted to let you know that while a bunch of us do speak french (like me for example) most people go to an english school and only know basic french, sort of like in America. So yeah, Adrian and Carter aren’t automatically gonna ace french.
Vancouver, British Columbia, is not in Quebec. Only Quebec has the mandate that French is the official language of the province.
I’m actually really worried about Adrian. It seems like he’s in a really bad place right now. And considering that a few pages later he got like 2 hours of sleep and hasn’t been in the right place of mind to study for this, I’m worried that he might fail his test. He wouldn’t get into the college thing and his parents would be disappointed and with him thinking Carter’s a lost cause… What if he thinks he’s messed everything up too much to be fixed?
