I actually get it… Like, Carter really likes Adrian. He’s open about this. He was vocal about it. And Adrian, deep inside, knows this. Believes Carter’s feelings are real, that he really, truly likes Adrian. And then he took advantage of this and went ahead to kiss him and had a short-lived “fun”. It would have been another thing if Adrian kissed him but actually planned to give both of them a chance of becoming a couple. Like, date for real, you know? Or maybe even have a trial run or something. But no. He didn’t want either of them to touch the subject again and wants for them both to forget what had happened. Like it was a bad memory. And that… That really hurts. For both of them… They were friends. Real friends. Using your friends hurts. And being used by the person you thought of as your friend — by someone you trust — hurts.
